Like all Danaher Motion step motor drives the P7000 series includes optically isolated step and direction inputs. The drives are configured by either on-board switches, or via the P7000 Graphical User Interface (GUI).
The motors are finished in matt black (powder coated). The winding temperature is monitored and signaled by a PTC temperature sensor in the stator winding.
Compared with everyday servomotors from other manufacturers, AKM motors have a considerably higher power output for a given frame size. The motors have low inertia rotors for high dynamic performance and they exhibit very low cogging.
